• I’ve been thinking about how {2.1} everything should be contextualized in time and how time can be framed as an axis of our identities.
  • Thinking about our “data”, just a couple of days ago I wrote about how {2.1e} your search history is a resonance calendar (several months ago, I wrote privately about the same experience on tumblr).
  • This ability to revisit different “coordinates” of time and space in our digital environments is monumental – I don’t think we’re talking about it enough, like archival implications, cultural preservation, personal narratives…
  • I think a huge part of my frustration with ““tech”” is that most of this data is kept in opaque, proprietary frameworks or whatever – I don’t have enough tech knowledge to articulate this.
  • Basically: SOMEONE can see where I was at on June 1, 2015 at 11:47 a.m. They can see whether I walked or drove there, what songs I heard on the way, how much money I spent while I was out, who I was chatting with, etc, etc.
    • I SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THAT DATA.
    • That data shouldn’t be siloed in different apps that use it for advertising or user-tracking; it should be my data first and foremost – if not my data only.
